I have been so very excited to see so many of you come back since my reopening! And, for those you who haven't yet, please know I am thinking of you and will be here, ready when you are
for your safe return.
I wanted you all to know that Robin's Nest Massage has received the COVID-19 Ready Badge from Vagaro. This is in
recognition of the steps I am taking to keep us all safe in these challenging times. A couple highlights and reminders are listed below. For more extensive details, please refer to the
downloadable PDF on my website:
- I am using Hospital Grade disinfectants to thoroughly clean between each client.
- I am spacing out appointments to allow for cleaning and to minimize client contact. Please Do Not enter the facility more than 5 minutes prior to your
appointment time to allow for this important step.
- I am taking client temperatures and asking some brief survey questions at each visit in addition to having you sign a waiver.
- Clients are required to wear a mask in the office, but not during the massage itself. The reason being that it is not safe to place a mask on an unconscious
person, and many people do fall asleep during their massage.
- I am keeping windows and doors open as much as possible to allow for good ventilation, but as the weather cools I will be relying largely on my new ventilation
system. It is a little noisy, but air circulation is an important step, so I appreciate your understanding.
- I have implemented a touch-free checkout system for Credit Card transactions, but continue to encourage the use of checks if possible.
My last bit of news regards a change in my hour of operation. In order to accommodate the new hybrid-learning model at Colchester schools, I have had to drop down to only 4 days per week.
Effective the week of September 21st, my hours will now be:
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Please be aware that my son will be in the office every Wednesday and during my last appointments of the day on both Thursday and Friday. In order to keep him separate from clients, I will
occasionally be conducting Check-outs and scheduling appointments from the waiting area.
Thank you all for your continued support. Should you have any questions or concerns, please to not hesitate to reach out to me.

2-Please Do Not come early to your appointment.
3- Wash hands immediately upon entry into office.
4- I will be having you sign a waiver, be taking your Temperature, and asking you a brief questionnaire of symptoms before agreeing to conduct your service.
5 - I may be calling to move appointments up or down to accommodate other guests.

I am SOOO EXCITED to see you all again!!!
I would like to start out by saying how much I miss you all. In case I haven't told you directly, you all mean a great deal to me. I love my job. It gives me purpose. I consider
myself lucky to have found work that makes me feel so fulfilled, and none of that is possible without you, my clients. I am looking forward to being able to see you all again soon.
To that end, I have been making plans around my reopening. I am currently aiming for June
1st, but am awaiting guidance and permission from the State. I will be sure to email you all once I know more.
Meanwhile, I have been trying to anticipate expected protocols based on those from other open healthcare businesses as well as CDC guidelines. I have completed the State VOSHA paperwork, taken
online Sanitation seminars, and created my own Standard Operation Plan which is posted on my website if you would like to see the full details. Below is a quick summary of the changes you are
likely to see in the coming weeks. If you have questions, or would like to recommend some changes, please feel free to email me. These protocols may continue to evolve in the coming
If you are ill or have been exposed to a known or suspected infected person I ask that you reschedule your
appointment. I will not enforce my cancellation policy in cases of illness, but please provide as much notice as you can.
I will be wearing a mask for all client interactions. Clients are not required to, but please feel free to wear one
if it makes you more comfortable.
Clients are asked to wash hands immediately upon entering the office.
I request all shoes be removed in the waiting area.
I would like to discourage the use of cash for payment as it passes through so many hands. Checks are preferred,
and I am happy to process Credit Cards. You will be provided a clean pen or
stylus whenever necessary.
Although I have always kept the office very clean, I have expanded and increased the frequency of some of my
cleaning. To that end, I have added time to each booking to ensure proper sanitation. I ask that you Do Not come early to your
appointment unless you call first. This will also help lower client-to-client contact.
With the expanded appointment times, I may have to be more actively balancing my
schedule. I may be asking if I can move your appointment up or down in order to make things
work. I will keep it to a minimum as I do value your time, but there are many guests asking to get in and I want to make as many appointments available for you as I
All House-Call and Chair Massage services are temporarily suspended.
Until Summer Camps are open, my son will often be at work with me. In these cases, all payments and appointment
bookings will be processed in the waiting room. Please let me know in advance if you wish to make a retail purchase. (I have some great new environmentally safe sunscreen on the
